Glacier meltdown due to global warming
North Pole is not the only place melting due to global warming. Himalayan Glaciers are also the victims. If the glacier melts, flood will sweep South Asia, and Nepal will be the one with the most damage. As you can see from the picture, there glaciers are enough to ruin a city! Also, in India, people living near Ganges basin will lose their houses, since this meltdown of ice is expected to bring BIG flood to Ganges River and Indus River.
You probably won't feel how serious this is, but it is really serious. This whole melting thing is expected in 2012!

Deforestation

Deforestation started when British colonists came in 19th century. Tree logging was carried out to supply British with their demand. Indians didn't have control over this, nor they cared much. Hence no act of planting trees over this colonial time, approximately 3 decades, but only logging was done. Now that people know the need of planting back the tree, but it is not as active, since there is dispute, or conflict between owners of the lands and naturalists. Deforestation is already leading to natural disasters, such as the cyclone (video)! Such catastrophe can also harm industry. For example, in the video, it says that the mango field, important industry is damaged!
Also, deforestation is known to bring flood, especially to a nation with seasonal monsoon sweeping the whole country! Already, Indians are experiencing unusually flooding. This also harms people living near the rivers (pretty much the same story as the meltdown).

Thought India's deforestation is not as serious as Brazil's, it is still crucial that the people of India take action. They will not only harm themselves by hurting the trees but also harm the Earth, hence all other nations around the world.
